Our story left off where we took a bus out of Kuala Lumpur to the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The LCCT is a special terminal catering budget airlines. For now, it caters only Air Asia and Air Asia X. If you use Air Asia to come and get out of Kuala Lumpur, you do them from this place. It is adjacent to the main terminal, but with a more decent, smaller building. It doesn't have the 'elephant trunks' that go feed the planes, it does not have train connection, not utterly comfortable for business travellers; yet it works for most of us who just want to get there and home without extra comfort. But it doesn't mean that it lacks amenities, facilities are provided, food counters are there for the hungry-bellies. It has a good spot for the stay-nighters too.

We arrived pretty late, the terminal was so crowded and chaotic we had problem finding our check-in counter. We had to compete with some intolerant Vietnamese who wanted to skip our line. Getting through the immigration was also hectic and unorganised. This is not like normal. I guess either people are spending more with Air Asia or, yes! It was nearly Chinese New Year.
