Food at LCCT cheap, says Lajim
21 October, 2008
RM1 for a glass of teh tarik and RM1.20 for a piece of roti canai, that's how low the price of food is at the LCCT.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin said there was also nasi kandar, noodles and other food sold by bumiputra operators.
Replying to Datuk Baharum Mohamed (BN - Sekijang), he said there were complaints that food sold at the LCCT was expensive and the ministry, together with Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development, built special lots for bumiputra food stalls with the condition that the price of food be low.
Lajim also said 61 out of 88 retail outlets or 69% of them at KL International Airport were businesses owned by bumiputra operators.
He said there were six retail outlets at LCCT and five of them were managed by bumiputra businessmen.
He also said about 60% of retail outlets at airports in other states were managed by bumiputra operators.
