KL Sentral Station

Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, or KL Sentral Station, is the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur.

KL Sentral Station was designed as a transportation hub.

It is setup to be a station which provides transfers between buses and trains. It is marked as the central point for most of Kuala Lumpur's rail-based public transportation, and it is also an important transitional point for inter-city trains serving Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.

It has retail and food outlets as well as a food court, it was designed to accommodate 50 million passengers a year and up to 100 million by 2020.

KL Sentral Station also serves SkyBus coach service that connects passengers from Kuala Lumpur to the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).

KL Sentral Station is divided into separate sections for different types of rail services:

• Transit Concourse, Level 1: Urban public transit services such as the KTM Komuter, KLIA Transit and the Kelana Jaya Line light rail transit.

• Transit Concourse, Level 2: KTM inter-city trains.

• KL City Air Terminal (KL CAT): KLIA Ekspres, and the high-speed rail service to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
