Experience the LCCT

Wondering what's and how's it like to be at LCCT? Here are some excerpts from the writers who shared their thoughts on being at the LCCT. Through continuous sharing of ideas and discussions, it's my hope that LCCT will slowly be improved to be a world-class terminal.

New LCC Terminal at KL Airport

I was surprised to find out there was a new arrival terminal in KL for Low Cost Carriers (Air Asia). It's name is LCC-T.

You had to walk a short distance on the ground from the airplane and there you had immigration, and then you are out. Very fast and efficient compared to the main terminal....

i think this terminal was built hastily and many areas were not factor in. since it was going to be used by low cost carrier, maybe everything was done based on a cheap concept. as i notice from the layout plan and the floor area, it seems more like a huge empty factory with limited features and facilities. perhaps the mind set for those planning for the terminal is short sighted…

I see a low of complaints from your article about the new LCCT. First of all, it is great that we could open the new LCCT so soon, even slightly earlier than Singapore…

LCC Airport and Taxi

Are those taxi touts any faster & safer than using a taxi coupons? How long do we need to wait for a taxi if we use coupons? Police officers definitely will not be involve in such situation like this cos this is only roughting for business among those taxi fellas only...

It’s not LCCT… It’s AirAsia!

2 of the Shagadelicans went to Kelantan last week and this is what happened in the KB airport…

The Shagadelicans were happy to see the thing that can extend to the entrance of the plane (What do we call that? Shaft? Sky bridge?) but they were quickly diverted to a stair case....

LCCT... Shaking legs and banging balls

Several of my friends, who took AirAsia for regional travels, have unsavoury remarks about LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at Sepang, which beat Singapore to open on March 26.

They say LCCT stands for 'Low Class Commuters Terminal'. Really? I decided to give it a check. (I did forewarn I would relate to you that my air-travel from LCCT Sepang...

Home sweet home, via LCCT

You know you're back in Bolehland when the first thing you experience is the inconvenience. Tsk. I've decided to blog first about the ever so hot & fresh Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) instead of my trip to sate alot of people's curiousity.

Arriving on KLIA's runways, the plane taxied up past the cargo terminal to the LCCT where you're greeted by an unpretentious...

LCCT

1. Its located some 15 minutes drive away from the main KLCC terminal.

2. There's no passanger gantry - when the doors open people rush onto the runway. Talk about an accident waiting to occur...

enroute via LCCT to KLIA

Last thursday at 6am, i drove Jason to the low cost carrier terminal (LCCT) in Sepang, this place is really far out into Sepang, but this terminal reminded me of Brisbane, as this place has those Air Asia bus that sends passenger thru and fro from KL sentral, and it cost only RM9...

Upon reading Isaac's who owns www.lcct.com.my, I then realised my mistake on typing Isaac to ISSAC. Thousand apologies on the inconveniences caused. The typo is now corrected.

CNY Air Ticket

I prefer using MAS for trips back to my hometown from Penang, because:

- There is no direct flight from Penang to Kuching. All flights transit or stop in KL.

- For MAS, you can check in in Penang, and need not leave the arrival hall to check in again in KLIA. For AirAsia, you need to check in again once you touch down in the LCCT...

LCCT Terminal and Bangkok night sky on video

I took Air Asia during my flight to Bangkok last week. It was my first time at the LCCT terminal. The terminal is meant for no frills airline such as Air Asia. I was looking forward to it. I was actually contemplating whether should I take the bus directly from Sentral which cost RM9 or shall I take the express rail instead which needs a connecting bus to LCCT. Finally I decided to take the express rail from sentral...

My Bangkok Trip ~ Day 1

My day began rather early even though my flight was only after 1pm. Bro was kind to drop me off at the airport before work. Bumped into Eugene, Nianci and family at the brand new Air Asia Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). They were on their way to Indonesia. It was the sign of things to come - for I would bump into Gracie and her gang in Bangkok later on...

LCC Terminal - Air Asia

The need for the LCC Terminal was triggered by the high growth of passenger movements recorded by Malaysia’s no frills airline, Air Asia. The LCC Terminal is located about 20 KM from the KLIA Main Terminal Building (MTB). The LCC terminal is specifically designed to suit the Low Cost Carrier (LCC). Air Asia, Asia's leading and largest low fare airline, and its associates Thai Air Asia and Indonesia Air Asia will be the main airline operators at the new Low Cost Carrier Terminal, occupying up to two thirds (44 of 72) of the check in counters. ...

KLIA Vs LCCT

Dear KLIA,

We, the cheapskate people of Bolehland, would like to let you know that we are very determined people.

We won’t back down because you have downgraded the airport (LCCT) to something similar to Phnom Penh or Medan. Making us walk to our planes under the hot sun or the pouring rain like we used to at our beloved Subang Airport in 1972...
