Tune Hotels set to receive its two millionth guest soon

30 Jun, 2011

IN A span of only four years since opening its first hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur in 2007, the pioneering value hotel brand Tune Hotels will be welcoming its two-millionth guest soon.

To celebrate the achievement, Tune Hotels is throwing a special five-day promotion that ends tomorrow. Hotel rooms in Malaysia are on sale from as low as RM20 while those in Bali, Indonesia are up for grabs from only Rp60.000 per night. The offer is available exclusively on www.tunehotels.com for stay period of July 2 to Sept 30, 2011.

Tune Hotels currently has 12 hotels located in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, KLIA-LCCT Airport, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Damansara, Bintulu and Kota Baru in Malaysia; Kuta and Legian in Bali, Indonesia; and London in the United Kingdom. The special promotion does not include hotel rooms at the KLIA-LCCT Airport and London Westminster hotels.

Tune Hotels have planned to open more hotels in the coming 12 months including in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and the UK.

Tune Hotels marketing and communications general manager Karen Thong said, “The extraordinary response from our guests towards Tune Hotels has spurred us be more innovative and continuously strive to give them great value, great savings.

“Getting two million guests in just four years is no easy feat. I must say that we have struck the right chord with our pay-as-you-use concept that has been received very well by the consumer.”

Since the removal of its admin fee in January, guests can further save 20% if they purchase the Comfort Package that include towels, toiletries and air condition credits. They can enjoy even more savings of 30% with Plus Package that bundles television and in-room wifi at selected hotels.

Tune Hotels was recently named among Top 20 Most Innovative Brands by Indonesia’s MIX magazine. Standing at No. 9, Tune Hotels was the only hotel brand and Malaysian-originated brand on the list.

Meanwhile, its London Westminster hotel was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the world’s largest travel website TripAdvisor, as a “result of consistently great feedback” from the hotel guests.
