FireflyLaunched on April 3rd 2007, Firefly, your community airline, is operated under FlyFirefly Sdn Bhd, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysian Airline System Berhad. Operating out of its hubs in Penang and Subang, Firefly provides new and exclusive routes to various points within the Peninsular Malaysia, Southern Thailand and Sumatera of Indonesia, aligning itself with the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMTGT) agenda. Subang being the re-newed congregation place of business and leisure alike, it is the perfect touch point for new and seasoned travelers alike. From its hub in Subang, Firefly connects our passengers to Penang, Kuala Terengganu, Kerteh, Kota Bharu, Alor Setar, Langkawi and Johor Bahru within Malaysia. In Thailand, Firefly flies to Koh Samui and in Indonesia, Firefly flies to Medan, Banda Acheh, Pekan Baru and Batam. From Penang, Firefly connects Malaysians in the northern state to Phuket in Thailand, to Banda Acheh and Medan in Indonesia, and to Subang and Langkawi in the Peninsular. JetStar AsiaFounded in 2004, Jetstar Asia is a low-cost airline based in Singapore. It operates services to regional destinations with its main base is Singapore Changi Airport. JetStar Asia currently does not provide services to the LCCT.
JetStar AirwaysJetstar Airways is a low-cost airline based in Melbourne, Australia. It is a subsidiary of Qantas, created in response to the threat posed by low-cost airline Virgin Blue. It operates an extensive domestic network and regional and some international services. Its main base is Melbourne Airport. Jetstar also has stakes in sister companies Jetstar Asia/Valuair in Singapore and Jetstar Pacific Airlines in Vietnam. JetStar Airways does not provide services to the LCCT. Tiger AirwaysTiger Airways is a low-cost airline based in Singapore, with its primary hub at Singapore Changi Airport. Incorporated in September 2003, it is currently the largest low cost airline operating out of Singapore in terms of passengers carried. Tiger Airways does not use the LCCT. It completes 7 flight weekly to KLIA.
ValuairValuair is a Singapore-based low-cost carrier. It was launched in 2004. Valuair today only flies to Indonesian destinations - namely Jakarta, Surabaya and Denpasar. Valuair currently does not provide services to the LCCT. |
