Allow AirAsia X to use our under-utilised KLIA

Wednesday January 14, 2009

I READ Wong Mun Choong's letter "A trip that will never be taken the same way again" (The Star, Jan 13) and would like to give some suggestions.

Obviously, the LCCT now is over-crowded as it has exceeded its capacity.

With our Malaysian level of inefficiency, the conditions suffered by Wong will continue until we get a bigger terminal or the airport authority has a complete change of work ethics.

While waiting for all these to happen and while waiting for the MAHB and AirAsia to come to some agreement to the new LCCT, may I suggest that for all international flights by AirAsia X, the main terminal at KLIA be used?

The KLIA is grossly under-utilised. Why waste such good facilities while waiting for new international airlines to come?

Public money was used to finance the airport, so let the public enjoy it even at a discount, which AirAsia X needs to maintain its profitability.

MAKYONG,
Ipoh.
